Steven R Harvey was appointed to the Office of Vice President of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Local No. 3 New York in March 2020 to fill the vacancy created when former Vice President Jason Requa became Secretary/Treasurer.

Mr. Harvey, a second-generation Bricklayer and Cement Finisher, is a 33-year member. Steve’s journey as a BAC member began in 1987 when he was accepted into BAC Local 56 in Watertown, NY, and served a 4-year Apprenticeship. Steve Transferred to BAC Local 42 in Binghamton, NY in 1992 which today is now part of BAC Local 3NY. Steve worked and traveled as a Journeyman Bricklayer and Cement Finisher on various commercial and private projects in the Binghamton and surrounding areas until 2006.

In October 2006, Mr. Harvey was hired as a Field Representative in BAC Local 3 NY by former BAC Local 3 NY President Eugene Caccamise. As a Field Representative, Steve was actively involved and assisted in Collective Bargaining, Organizing, Training Programs offered through the Locals JATC’s and serviced  BAC members and signatory contractors. Steve also introduced and established new programs to help BAC contractors become more competitive and grow helping to keep members working and creating opportunities for new Craftworkers. Mr. Harvey continued the fore mentioned work practices and involvement under former BAC Local No. 3 NY President Anthony DiPerna and current BAC President Richard Williamson.

Mr. Harvey currently sits on the BAC Local No. 3 NY Management Committee, BAC Local No. 3 NY Executive Committee, BAC Local No. 3 NY Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, and BAC Local No. 3 NY Organizing Committee.
